This bibliography reflects my own interests and limitations: it contains only English-language works that are about crime, criminal law and the courts, and closely related topics; the vast majority will relate to Britain, western Europe and north America. The categories and keywords provide only a rough guide to the main focus of a work. Some works on witchcraft are included, but readers interested in that particular topic should consult this bibliography.
